Everything you need to know about GaleByte - setup, commands, features and configuration.
Click the "Invite Bot" button on the homepage or use the direct invite link. You need Administrator permissions on your Discord server. After inviting, visit web.galebyte.app to configure the bot.
Go to web.galebyte.app, login with Discord, select your server, then navigate to the Modules tab. Click "Install" on any module to enable it. Some modules require a channel selection during installation.
Use the /set_lang slash command in Discord (Admin only) to switch between English and German. The web panel language can be changed separately from the Settings tab.
Use /profil in Discord. You'll be guided through selecting your weapon (12 options), inner way (37 paths), mystic skills (up to 8 from 28), combat role, sect and guild rank. You can also create an optional second build profile.
Dual Profile lets you maintain two separate character builds. Profile 2 has its own weapon, combat role, inner way and mystic skills. Switch between builds or show both.
Use /find followed by a combat role (Tank, Healer, DPS) to find players with that role. You can also browse all profiles at web.galebyte.app under the Members section.
Use /deleteprofile to remove your own profile. Admins can use /admindelete to remove any profile, or /purge to remove all profiles of users who have left the server.
You earn XP from various activities:
Use /checkin once per day to earn bonus XP. Each consecutive day increases your streak, which multiplies the bonus (50 + 10 * streak days). Missing a day resets your streak to 0.
The XP required per level follows the formula: 100 * level^1.5. For example, Level 2 requires 283 XP, Level 5 requires 1,118 XP, Level 10 requires 3,162 XP. When you level up, a notification is posted and roles can be automatically assigned.
Use /rank to see your current level, XP, progress bar, streak and position on the leaderboard. Use /top to see the server's top 10 XP earners.
Admins can configure everything from the web panel's XP & Leveling tab: enable/disable XP, set XP rates for messages/voice/events, configure cooldowns, set up level-role mappings, choose the level-up notification channel, and enable/disable streaks.
Use /event in Discord. Select the event type (Guild War, Dungeon, Boss, Custom), set the time and description. The event will be posted with signup buttons. You can also manage events from the web calendar.
GaleByte automatically sends @here reminders 30 minutes before any event starts. The reminder includes the event title, time, type, and signup count. No configuration needed - it works automatically for all events.
Yes! Events can be rescheduled without losing signup data. Use the reschedule option on the event post or from the web calendar.
Go to the Scheduler tab in the web panel. Click "Create Message" to set up a new scheduled message. Choose the channel, write your message content (with optional embed), select a mention type, and set the schedule (one-time or recurring).
You can schedule messages as:
Yes! GaleByte includes templates for common scenarios: Guild War Reminder, Daily Reset Notification, Weekly Meeting, and Event Reminder. Templates auto-fill the message content, embed settings and schedule.
MOTD posts a daily message at 8:00 UTC from a combined pool of default tips and your custom messages. All messages can be individually toggled on/off. Enable and configure it from the Overview tab in the web panel.
Every Sunday at 20:00 UTC, GaleByte posts an automatic summary of the week: new profiles created, events held, and top 5 XP earners with medals. Configure the target channel from the Overview tab.
Event reminders run automatically every 5 minutes, checking for events starting in the next 30 minutes. When found, a @here mention is sent in the event's channel with full event details and signup count. Each event only gets one reminder.
MOTD draws from a unified pool of 8 default tips plus any custom messages you add. Each message can be toggled individually. The bot picks one randomly each day from all active messages.
Go to Server Management → Overview → Click 'Edit Messages' on the MOTD card. You'll see all default tips with checkboxes and your custom messages below. Toggle any message on/off — the bot picks one randomly each day from the combined active pool.
GaleByte has two ranking systems: Mastery-based (from profile levels) accessible via /leaderboard, and XP-based accessible via /top. Both are available in Discord and on the web panel's leaderboard page.
The Guild Strategist is a web-based war room for planning 30v30 guild wars. Drag & drop players to Top, Mid, and Bot lanes, use auto-assign for balanced team distribution, create tactical units with custom names and colors, and collaborate in real-time with officers via PeerJS.
After installing the Temp Voice module, set a "hub" voice channel. When someone joins the hub, a new temporary voice channel is created for them. The channel is automatically deleted when everyone leaves.
Go to the web panel's Settings tab. Upload a custom background image, choose font and colors, and preview the card in real-time. Welcome cards are automatically sent when new members join your server.
Yes! In the Settings tab, select a Discord role to automatically assign to every new member who joins your server.
The /timers command shows live countdowns for all important WWM resets: Daily Reset (21:00 UTC), Weekly Reset (Monday 21:00 UTC), GvG times (Saturday & Sunday 20:30 UTC), and Hero's Realm lockout. Times update in real-time.
Use /checklist to see your personal weekly task tracker. Toggle tasks as done/undone with buttons. Tasks include Hero's Realm, Sword Trial, Weekly Bounties and more. The checklist automatically resets every Monday at 21:00 UTC.
Use /currency to track your in-game currencies: Martial Merit, Guild Tokens and Sect Tokens. Click the Update button to enter new values via a modal. Your data persists across weeks.
Admins use /gvg record which opens a modal to enter: date, result (Win/Loss/Draw), lane scores (Top/Mid/Bot) and notes. The bot posts an embed with an "I was there!" attendance button for members to click.
Use /gvg stats to see your total sessions attended, attendance rate, win rate and current streak. You can also check another player's stats with /gvg stats @user.
Use /gvg season for the current season's W/L/D record, win rate, and the top 10 most active GvG participants ranked by attendance count.
Admins use /composition to see a guild composition analysis: weapon distribution, combat role distribution, and sect distribution. It warns about gaps (e.g. "Only 2 Healers registered").
Use /lfg create to open a modal where you enter: content type (Hero's Realm, Sword Trial, World Boss, Sect Mission, Custom), difficulty, event time (HH:MM UTC or leave blank for ASAP), number of spots, and a description. The post appears in the designated LFG channel.
Each LFG post has Join and Leave buttons. Click Join to add yourself - the embed updates live with spot counts and participant list. Click Leave to remove yourself. When all spots are filled, the status changes to "Full".
Posts auto-expire 1 hour after the scheduled event time, or 2 hours after creation if no time was set. Expired posts are greyed out with disabled buttons. A background task checks for expirations every 5 minutes.
Use /build share to open a modal: enter build name, weapon, role (DPS/Tank/Healer/Support), inner ways, and a description with optional tags (PvP, PvE, GvG, Beginner, Meta). The build is posted with upvote/downvote buttons.
Each build post has thumbs up and thumbs down buttons. You can vote once per build. Click your vote again to remove it, or click the opposite to switch. Builds are ranked by net votes (upvotes minus downvotes).
Use /achievements to see all 7 achievements with progress bars:
Go to web.galebyte.app and login with your Discord account. You'll see all servers where you have the bot installed. Admins get the full management panel, while regular members get a read-only dashboard.
The admin panel has 6 tabs:
Role Permissions let admins delegate specific management tasks to trusted members without giving full admin access. Each role grants access to a specific feature area.
There are 5 roles:
Go to the Members page in the web panel, find the user, and select roles from the dropdown. Only server admins can assign roles.
No. Roles only grant access to their specific feature area. Bot settings, module installation, and server configuration remain admin-only.
Yes! Users can have any combination of roles. Or use Super Manager for full access to all role-restricted features.
